Early Poptropica Guide

Welcome to Early Poptropica, the first island adventure within the game. Your quest in Early Poptropica is particularly basic: you needs to recover 3 items that have been stolen from the island’s early settlers.

Appearance in Early Poptropica

You ‘ll arrive on Main Street in Early Poptropica. Go inside the Pop Art Museum to see art from famous artists and speak to the artists themselves. There are two multi-player buildings here: the Arcade and the Soda Pop Shop.

You could start exploring by climbing up the Water Tower. The Signal Flag that you need to retrieve for the Early Poptropicans is way up at the top but it’s not accessible yet. You ‘ll also see an open manhole. Before you go down into that dark hole, you’re going to need something to help navigate down there. It’s spooky and dark inside that hole and some light will really help.

The Old Part of Town

Step to the right until you get to the end of the street and then get going to the Early Poptorpica zone. Here’s where you ‘ll find the original settlers of Early Poptropica. Speak with each of the citizens here and you ‘ll soon learn that three important items have been stolen from them.

This is where you ‘ll be able to pick up a handy glow stick. The Glow Stick is in the very upper-left corner of this room. Walk into the Glow Stick to add it to your items.

Return to the Main Street Area

Now that you have the Glow Stick, it’s time to explore that manhole. Jump down to the very bottom. There are some purple spiders here, but don’t be too worried about them. Even if you fall all the way to the bottom, you ‘ll still land on your feet. Then hop over the green spider and move right to get the prized porker. Touch the pig to add it in your items. You will be tempted to leave the manhole now, but there’s more to be found down there. Get past the green spider again and enter the tunnel on your left.

Because you have the glow stick, you ‘ll be able to find your way through the dark passages. When you spot a rope, climb up. Keep climbing until you locate the Golden Egg. There are hints written on the walls to tell you if you’re going in the right direction. Walk up to the Golden Egg to put it in your backpack.

After you get the Egg, travel upward to find an exit, and you ‘ll find yourself in front of Poptropica Towers.

Welcome to Poptropica Towers

The pig is now yours, but two items still need to be recovered. Because you are at Poptropica Towers, you should start exploring the city street lined with tall buildings. Get up onto to the ledge of the first building that you come to and climb up to the rooftop. Travel from rooftop to rooftop, bouncing off clotheslines to help you. You’ll arrive at a blue building. Climb to the very top of this until you get to the roof and see some tables and chairs. Now go up the vine.

Beware the Giant

Wow, you’re now very high up in the sky. Go right until you see a very large pair of giant’s feet. Click on the feet to talk to the giant. He’ll accept your Golden Egg as payment to enter his vegetable garden. Look near the vegetables to find the missing water bucket.

Enter the Aircraft Graveyard

Keep moving right until you find the Aircraft Graveyard. You can not use any of the planes here, but if you search mindfully, you ‘ll find a Jet Pack. This is just what you need to get to high places– like the top of the Water Tower, where the Signal Flag is waiting for you.

Return to Main Street as soon as possible. Next, use the Jet Pack to fly to the top of the Water Tower. In order to fly, move your cursor until you see a green up-arrow. Hold your mouse button down to move up. Then move left or right. When you reach the top of the tower, click on the Flag to place it in your backpack.

Finish the Job

The three missing items are now all in your posession. Return to Early Poptropica. (You can fly if you want to, but you will have to walk between Main Street and Early Poptropica.)

Talk to each one of the three settlers who were lacking items. Once you do, the things are taken out of your Inventory and delivered to their original owners. As soon as you return the Signal Flag, a boat will get to the boat dock. Speak with the person on the ship, and he will thank you with an Early Poptropica Medallion. Great job!
